Hmm, I shall write something about my Japan trip using point forms cause it's easier.
The basics:
1) Don't go to Japan unless you know how to speak the language. The people there seriously don't know English and everything is writen in Japanese. Use a guide. ^^
2) Japanese are united and they don't really like foreigners. It's a homogeneous society.
3) For easy reference, 100Yen is approx US$1 (SG$1.35).
The trip:
1) The airport of Osaka is reclaimed and it's one of the few airports that is opened 24hrs. You can really see yourself flying really close over the ocean before touching down at the airport. It's really pretty.
2) Somehow, the department shops like SOGO are filled with LV, Cartier and all the branded shops which is NOT a sight in Singapore. It's really scary seeing that. Imagine one LV next to another just across the street.
3) The younger generation moms and dads there really don't look like moms and dads. It's hard to discribe. They are all so fashionable, not like the moms and dads in Singapore - aunties after giving birth.
4) Makeup is their culture. For a Japanese not to put on makeup is seen as
'mei wen hua' which is not cultured.
5) They like brands. As mentioned in my previous post, everyone have LVs. What more, they have lots of handbags cause they can't use the same handbag for the week. It's seen as ugly. The average lifespan of a handbag is a few months, afterwhich, they will sell it to the 2nd hand shops.
6) Their packaging is really good. It's soo nice. They will pack what you bought nicely even for the tininess thing.
7) Communication can be a problem especially when it comes to ordering food (cause food is important). Fast food eg. mac is the better alt cause you can say the number of the meal. LOL
8) Mcflurry is NEW is Japan and it cost 300Yen ~ US$3!!
9) Japanese likes queuing up! The longer the line is, the happier they queue and they won't complain a single word. This is especially seen in Disneyland where you can queue one item for 65 - 180 minutes. +_+
10) Japan is really handicap friendly and somehow, it seems that they don't really despise wheelchair bounded people cause I see so many going to places like Disneyland, on board trains and stuff like that.
11) Their commercials are so nice to watch. There are so many artists in advertistments which really capture my attention to see the products.
12) All Japanese have Idols.
13) Their taxi ride is really expensive. Don't take it. (30min = 7000Yen)
14) Japanese walk really fast.
15) Their phones are 3G signal.
16) Japan seldom use credit card which is can be really a problem.
17) Their toilet bowls are WOW!

You see the buttons to press.
17) Night falls at 4plus 5pm during winter and day breaks really early before 7 (dunno exactly what time cause didn't take note).
18) After watching so many Wii commercials, I am influence to buy one! WAHAH. But it won't be out in Singapore until next year. *saddened*

Mac's study area. Really sleak.

The love rock. It is said that if you can touch the second one with your eyes close means you can find your true love.

What? 'Please don't smoke while walking?' Then when do you smoke?!

Mt Fuji. If it erupts, it's lava can cover Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya = Japan's economy bye bye.

Some poster of a childcare center. It's cute. ^^

Narita Airport, Tokyo. My day back to Singapore.
